Antje Krause-Wahl
Born 1970 in Frankfurt am Main/Germany, lives in Frankfurt. Antje Krause-Wahl studied Visual Arts/Arts
Education, Art History and Literature in Kiel
and Vienna and completed her dissertation entitled "Constructions of Identity: Renée
Green, Tracey Emin, Rikrit Tiravanija" in Leipzig, 2005 (published by Silke Schreiber).
She has been a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Mainz since 2006, and has taught at the
Institute for European Art History Heidelberg, at History of Art Institute of University Frankfurt
and at Academy of Visual Arts, Leipzig while curating several exhibitions at the Kunsthaus Ulm.
Her studies are focused on modern and contemporary art, particularly on questions of artists’
identities, artists’ education, art, fashion and artists’ magazines. Recent
publication: "Between Studio and Catwalk – Artists in Fashion Magazines",
in: Fashion Theory: The Journal of Dress, Body & Culture, 2009 (Berg Publishers).
